My parents have a time share in Daytona Beach and my dad goes every Thanksgiving week with friend to the annual Turkey Rod Run. It’s a HUGE carshow of old cars, and since he restores old cars for a living & is an avid car fan (he’s seriously owned around 80 cars since he has been able to drive), he loves going and seeing all of the cars & hearing about the work put into restoration.
Anyway, we packed up the kids and drove 3 hours to the east coast where we arrived at our home for the next few days.
Even though it was a little chilly (overcast), the kids made a bee-line for the swimming pool.
The next day, we made a day of seeing the sights in St Augustine. We visited the old historic fort and then walked around downtown & saw the Ripley’s Believe it or not museum.

Next up, the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum…
After we returned, some kids needed a nap, some wanted to swim, so I took Haley down to the beach & she did some dance jumps, so pretty!
In the eveneing we had dinner & went to a smaller car show. It was Santana’s actual birthday, so we had cupcakes at the restaurant for him
We came back home Tuesday night and got ready for Thanksgiving…
Here’s a cute video Rich made of our trip to the fort. Enjoy!
